Product Design Reference and Design Manager Hub are two self-initiated, complementary knowledge bases I created to empower both product designers and design managers with curated, actionable resources. Built from over 20 years of hands-on design and leadership experience, these evolving platforms provide clear, practical tools that support real-world workflows.
Both projects reflect my passion for designing not just products, but ecosystems that help people do their best work. These knowledge bases are live, evolving resources built on the GitBook platform for speed, simplicity, and scalability.
Product Design Reference helps designers quickly find the right UX methods and activities to use during discovery, ideation and testing, alongside other useful product design resources. Methods and activities are grouped into three sections, Discovery, Ideation and Testing, derived from an eight-phase UX design process. Define, Research, Analyse, Ideate, Prototype, Test, Build and Measure.
There is also an extensive 'Laws & Principles' section. In almost every profession, there are very smart people who have extensively contemplated specific aspects of their field and dedicated considerable time and effort to formulating theories, laws, and principles to assist others. The 'Laws & Principles' section of Product Design Reference encompasses a multitude of these principles and laws, serving as guides through the journey of product design.
Raindrop.io (preview below) was instrumental in developing out the resources section of Product Design Reference and includes a wide range of links relating to product design, development, and business as well as a curated list of relavent books.
Design Manager Hub offers tailored insights and materials to equip both new and seasoned design managers and leaders with the tools needed to navigate challenges and achieve success throughout their management journey. Design managers and leaders are supported with with insights, frameworks, and operational templates to navigate the challenges of building and scaling design teams.
Both knowledge bases are dynamic resources that I continually update. Moving forward, I will be placing greater emphasis on adding AI-related resources and content.
